Tis the Season for Fall Colors in Washington, DC

My riding often takes me through Rock Creek Park near my home in Washington, DC. Last weekend was no different. The difference this time was the full force of fall color all around. It was so nice, I felt like sharing.

Ridge Road in Rock Creek Park is arguably one of the best cyclist roads in the city. Its a little off the beaten path paralleling Beach Drive making traffic very light. The road is beautiful and challenging for cyclists of all abilities. If you haven’t ridden it, you are missing out.

As you come into the city on Beach Drive, cyclists are greeted by a wonderful downhill section just south of Wise Road. The splash of color could not be ignored. Riding through the dead leaves, while somewhat dangerous, is strangely fun.
